Nadia's first Savannah experience 🤯

When I was little, my grandmother hand-made a quilt for me. It had 12 little ladies with bonnets embroidered on patches. One had a pink dress with a yellow bonnet, another in red with a blue bonnet... I slept with it every night for YEARS. Until the stitching came undone and the quilt began falling to pieces. She tried to repair it, but a couple years later it was loved to pieces once again, eventually beyond repair. At that time, she lived far away in Alaska and it was all I had of her on the day to day. Now that she's in Georgia, I love taking her to quilt shows! We gush over the talent and detail that goes into each one. This year is particularly special. Over the past few months, I've talked with some amazing quilters in Central Georgia as a part of a story for @maconmagazine 🩷 This morning, grandma and I rushed to @themethodisthome to see the art and heritage on full display. The quilts are gorgeous. But what is even more touching are the quilts that line the railing above us; each one is made with love for a child experiencing foster care. 💙 Through my work with @georgiacasa I come across many heartbreaking stories daily. But it is impossible to despair! So many people, like the quilters, the staff at the Methodist Home, and the thousands of CASA volunteers in our state, love and serve children experiencing foster care every day. Through this, there is hope!! If you have a chance today or tomorrow, visit the Methodist Home and behold the quilts for yourself. Be sure to look up and notice the donated quilts as well. Easter came a day early at the Mosely house! Highlights: Grandma scored 4 ringers back-to-back in the corn hole tournament, Avacyn, Ezra, Michael, and Raphael turned Trent's bee hives into a masterpiece, and Gabriel found the golden egg in the hunt! 🌺🐣🐰🌟
